Post 108

Hello world... Glad to have you all back. It's been a while. Not that I've been suffering from a lack of mental content. In fact I've been quite overwhelmed. The Lord has been speaking many things. There's been quite enough thoughts fluttering around in my brain to fill several journal posts. It's just that I seem to have a little trouble lassoing them all down into a writeable position. Not to mention a million pictures.

We'll get right on to those pictures now...

Some shot's of the church on Sunday. We met at our house this time. I'm sooooo blessed when they all come over. I had a lovely day...

Good ole' Zac

Couldn't help but notice Joseph's very creative and inspiring shirt.

The DiPaces. They really seem to enjoy us folks for some reason, and that is nice to know. I enjoy them too.

Notice anything strange on his belly? That was my own creation.

Here's some from a camping/canoeing trip we went on Friday and Saturday...

We had a great camp fire out there last night. Such wonderfull singing, and closeness. I brought the Signs of the Times song, and spoke about it, how much God loves us. See a recording at the bottom of this page.

Remembering the works of God
Write the vision, make if plain upon tables.

I started thinking about the Hebrew word for write, and it's usage in the Bible. The principle also includes taking photos, videos, and sound recordings. 3 usages stuck out to me...
...Write the vision, make if plain upon tables... -God (Hab 2:2)
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. (Mal 3:16)
The book was written so they would be remembered, not forgotten.
Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words. (Jer 36:32)
Jeremiah had written a book, the king of Judah burned it. So Jeremiah spoke it from memory, and his scribe who wrote it all down again. Imagine how much work that must have been. It shows how important he saw that this "rhema" be remembered.

Now about the song Signs of the Times. It's one of the things that got me thinking about this. My mother asked me what I was so emotional about during singing it. (hear live rendition)
One reason was.. I was in awe of God's love for us. It is not God's will that any should perish. The Son of Man is not come to destroy men's lives but to save them.
That, paired with this... I don't want us to miss, or forget a word from our loving God. Anything He has spoken to us in the past, be it in our conduct, our lifestyle, our life purpose, our gifting, etc, is special and to be held. Oh, what a terrible shame to forget what God has brought us to. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast. Sword of the Spirit which is the "rhema" of God. (spoken word). Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every "rhema" that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. We don't want to forget a work of God. Remember what God has "rhema"d to us in the past, where He has brought us to. Do not dispise the work of the Holy Spirit. I think it's possible to miss a word from God by requiring a scripture. We need to love beyond the written word into the Spirit realm. (selections from 2Pe 3:9, Lu 9:56, Rev 3:3, Eph 6:17, Mt 4:4, 1Thes 5:19)

Disclaimer: Sorry I must put a disclaimer. But, just to clarify... I don't say a spoken word (rhema) from the Holy Spirit would go against the written word. For example... Since a fruit of the Holy Spirit is self control He would not "rhema" us to surrender to an influence that is out of control. This arcticle mainly pertains to long time Christians.
