Our 5th anniversary! I love her more than ever. We spent the day at the park reading our wedding cards. Later, we watched our wedding video. God has blessed us so!

I sure love in when my kids follow me around the house, or through the store holding my finger. They are DEAR children. Well, I came across a verse that says, "Be ye followers of God as dear children." God sure must love it when we follow Him.

Ye Must Be Born Again

Jesus says “Ye must be born again.” 

John 3:1  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 

 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 

 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  

 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 

 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 

 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 

 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 

 

When you are born into this world, you are alive physically, but you are dead spiritually. You cannot know God and He cannot know you because you haven’t been born yet. You have to be born a second time, this time spiritually. When you are born again you become part of God’s family. You are a child of God. He is your Father, Jesus and everyone else who has been born again become your brothers and sisters. God's family will all live together in the same home - heaven! 

 

How to be born again. 

Believe on Jesus! We read further into the same chapter and see how to be born again. And that this spiritual birth has everlasting life. 

 

John 3: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 

 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 

 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 

 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 

 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 

 

After being born again walk in the Spirit! 

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 

 

When born again you are a New Creation 

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 

 

When born again there is no sin in the Spiritual you. 

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 

 

When born again our old man is dead 

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 

 

Christ lives in you 

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
