How to Grow Your Relationship With God

There is a great need for us to have a growing and vibrant relationship with God. I hope we all see that need clearly.

Is there evidence in your daily life to demonstrate that your relationship with God is real and thriving?
Do you have the fruit of the Spirit?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. -Galatians 5:22-23

Are you walking in the Spirit?
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. -Galatians 5:16, 25
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. -Romans 8:1, 4

God shows us HOW to grow our relationship with Him in this passage:

Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. -Jeremiah 29:12-14

Our 6th Anniversary! Amanda and I went on a little trip in celebration of the 6 most wonderful years of our lives...

First we made a visit back to the spot where we first met back in 2003. It was at the Hitt's home. Amanda was 16 and I was 23.

Then we spent the weekend in Saugatuck, MI

Visited Lake Michigan

The Chain Ferry

Stopped to pick some blueberries

Did some sight-seeing

Had dinner at place called Belvedere

Sunset on the beach

Complete with campfire!

And finished it off with a busy day at Michigan's Adventure!

Elijah's farewell party. He stayed with Jeriah and Aurora (his uncle and aunt) for about a year. Now he has moved back to New York to be with his dad.

We sure love him, and he is missed.

Elijah and Asa

Working with the boys. We got the counters changed.

Out for a bike ride

Shiloh's 3rd Birthday!

Amanda's great grandmother Bolland went to heaven. We went to Pennsylvania for the funeral. Here's all her family gathered there to remember what a great life she lived. It was a big family reunion!

Her descendants singing Finally Home

Amity with her cousin, Ashley

Target practice

Amanda's first time shooting a gun. Thankfully, she missed!

Uncle Ken and Aunt Merlene

J.J. and Grace

Mrs. DeSota and Susanna came over one evening unannounced. Here's Susanna surprising Andrew. (Andrew must be very embarrased for not answering sooner.)

Fixing a furnace with Asa. We start 'em young these days.
